The Community Resource Services is a citywide program for families with a family member who has been diagnosed with a developmental disability. In this program we provide information about and referrals to other agencies and assistance with applications to various programs such as NYCHA, Section 8, Jiggetts/FEPS, DRIE, and SCRIE. We assist service recipients who have to attend Housing Court, NYCHA Fair Hearings or who may be facing eviction. We can also help with home finding and getting repairs done.
In order for a family to be eligible for this program we will need copies of the service recipient’s current psychological evaluation and birth certificate.
For more information, please call 212-643-2840 and ask for the Housing Department.
