Presenter: Consuelo Senior, LMSW Assistant Coordinator of Sex Education & Curricula Development at YAI
In this presentation we will analyze the impact that sexuality has on individuals with ASD from childhood and throughout their lifespan. Parents will discuss and learn about tools to help prepare their children for puberty and beyond
In addition, we will look into this topic from different cultural points of view, where parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to discuss how their own upbringing has shaped their understanding and parenting skills in this area.
This presentation is open to self-advocates, families, caregivers and professionals.

En esta presentación se analizará el desarrollo de la sexualidad en las personas que tienen un diagnostico de TEA, desde la niñez hasta la edad adulta. Las familias participantes discutirán y aprenderán sobre las herramientas para ayudar a preparar a sus hijos para la pubertad y más allá
Además, examinaremos este tema desde diferentes puntos de vista culturales, donde los padres y cuidadores, tendrán la oportunidad de discutir cómo su propia educación sexual ha formado su comprensión y habilidades de crianza en esta área.
