Sinergia operates a Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) under the NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) and provides information and referral, housing improvement and repairs, advocacy at housing court, home finding, escorting and advocacy with New York City Housing Authority, provides assitance with Disability Rent Increase Exemption (DRIE) application, refer and escort consumers for Psychological and Psychosocial evaluations). It works to develop and implement plans to create quality, affordable, intergrated housing for individuals with developmental disabilities. The Program serves persons who live in the catchment area from 98 Street to 126 Street, River to River.
This program also provides free housing workshops that are open to the public. The subjects include:
