Parent Centers & the White House

Very seldom are Parent Centers mentioned in a White House press briefing, but please see the the current Fact Sheet as the "Administration Announces New Actions to Address the Needs of People with Disabilities and Older Adults in Response to and Recovery from COVID-⁠19."
 
Kindly note, the US Department of Education "will also provide resources for parents who would like additional support in understanding how to navigate their child’s in-person learning experience through local regional parent training and information centers [aka, parent centers]. Parents may find their local center here and reach out for direct assistance and referrals to other organizations, as well as to gain skills to effectively participate in the education and development of their children."

At Sinergia, we offer informative workshops, education advocacy assistance, individualized special education guidance with our bilingual (English/Spanish) education specialists who can assist you. Our Autism Initiative provides access to information on access and referrals and services for your loved one. Sinergia also offers some OPWDD services (day habilitation, respite, housing advocacy, and more!)!
