The program will focus on development of independent life skills, including self-advocacy, independent living, communication skills, and strategies for developing positive relationships. Sessions include a variety of community based outings, during which participants will put a previously learned skill into action. Parents will participate in a simultaneous support group, as well as a weekly session debrief, in which the participants will engage parents in the skill learned that day.
