Sexuality & Sex Ed: An Active Conversation / Sexualidad y Educación Sexual: Una Conversación Activa / 性与性教育：积极的对话
Everyone has the same need to love and be loved. Children with neurodevelopmental disorders develop biologically and emotionally similar to neurotypical children of the same age. Parents are the first social-sexual educators.
This is a continuation of the discussion from our “Sexuality & Sex Ed: What Every Parent Needs to Know” workshop (available on our Facebook and YouTube pages) where we learned how to prepare their children for puberty, how to support their children to have a healthy sexuality, and skills to help prevent abuse.
In this workshop, we will discuss new topics we were unable to address either at all or enough, such as sexual orientation, gender identity, consent, healthy relationships, attraction & rejection, and what to do when parents disagree.
Todos tenemos la misma necesidad para amar y ser amados. Niñ@s con trastornos de neurodesarrollo desarrollan biológicamente y emocionalmente parecidos a niñ@s neurotípicos de la misma edad. Los padres son los primeros educadores socio-sexual.
Este taller es una continuación de la platica “Sexualidad y Educación Sexual: Lo Que Cada Padre Necesita Saber” (disponible en nuestras páginas de Facebook y YouTube) donde aprendimos cómo preparar a sus hij@s para pubertad, como apoyar a sus hij@s tener una sexualidad saludable y habilidades para ayudar prevenir el abuso.
En este taller, hablaremos sobre temas nuevos que no alcanzamos o que no cubrimos suficiente, temas como orientación sexual, identidad de género, consentimiento, relaciones saludables, atracción y rechazo, y que se hace cuando los padres no están de acuerdo.
