Presenter: Rebecca Doggett, PhD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone Health. She is a specialist in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and conducts diagnostic evaluations as well as provides individual and group treatments for children, adolescents, and young adults with ASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center, with a specialization in ASD. She has extensive training in Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), a naturalistic behavior intervention, through her doctoral graduate training with Drs. Lynn and Robert Koegel at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Other psychiatric conditions often occur alongside autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In this talk, we will discuss common co-occurring conditions such as anxiety and mood disorders, how to identify potential symptoms, a brief discussion of treatment approaches, and strategies for parents.

Es especialista en trastornos del espectro autista (ASD, por sus siglas en inglés) y realiza evaluaciones diagnósticas, además de tratamientos individuales y grupales para niños, adolescentes y adultos jóvenes con TEA y otros trastornos del neurodesarrollo. Completó su pasantía predoctoral y su beca posdoctoral en el Yale Child Study Center, con especialización en ASD. Ella tiene un entrenamiento extenso en el Tratamiento de respuesta pivotal (PRT), una intervención de comportamiento naturalista, a través de su formación de posgrado de doctorado con los Dres. Lynn y Robert Koegel en la Universidad de California, Santa Barbara.

Otras condiciones psiquiátricas a menudo ocurren junto con el trastorno del espectro autista (TEA).
